It was my youngest sister’s 19th birthday yesterday. I didn’t prepared something like mine because I was busy with my online job. I just gave her money to buy cake and roasted chicken for dinner. She didn’t asked for more because it’s the schedule of paying her school fees again. Hence, she was just contented with the Yellow Cab pizza treat last Sunday and her little Red Ribbon cake, roasted chicken and ice cream Kuya Ace bought in the bakery nearby.

Yesterday, Ace used his new pair of Nike cross-training shoes we bought last Sunday. (I thought he will just keep it in the closet ‘coz he still wore his old rubber shoes during the first two days of the week.) My husband is also an impulsive buyer (like me)…sometimes. But he is more frugal than me.LOL. If he buys for himself, he makes sure he gets something for me too. Fair husband. I would know that he wanted something if he keeps on talking about it (but never mention he wanted to buy)…who wouldn’t talk about his wants until he gets?hehe. So, I just read his mind and he’s thrilled everytime I agree with what he’s thinking. Anyhow, maybe that’s the reason why he brought home ice cream and bread last night - to celebrate for his new shoes!

My youngest sister craves for ice cream yesterday. She’s begging me to buy one but sorry for her ‘coz I’m not in the mood to eat. I sent her to buy some fish for dinner then again, she’s begging to buy ice cream but to no avail. I just gave her enough to buy fish. After grilling the fish, she immediately ate dinner while I was doing my online job and waiting for Ace so that we could eat together. I thought she already forgot about the ice cream but she kept on begging so I told her we’ll wait for Ace. Of course, I need approval from him. But Ace arrives late so the store is closed by then…hehe. There’s no way for her to satisfy her cravings unless if we’ll allow her to buy in a convenience store which is 10-minute ride from our place. She’s been telling me to text Ace but I didn’t mind her (bad Ate!). To our surpirse, Ace arrived early bringing with him bread and ice cream! She’s so happy upon seeing the plastic bag Ace is holding. Oh, she seems like a little kid shouting with joy as Ace walks in. I never texted Ace about my sister’s request and I don’t know what came to his mind that he brought home such. Is that mental telepathy or HE whispered her ”want” to Ace that he bought ice cream on a chilly night.

Another party’s coming up. Ella, my niece is turning 5 in less than two months. As early as last year, she has been detailing what she wanted for her birthday…a cake, lechon, ice cream, and balloons. Well, that’s what all kids love to have in their party. I just hope I’ll have extra to contibute for her party. For sure, if Mamang is still alive, she’ll give something for her granddaughter and wouldn’t miss that special day for Ella. Like all other kid’s party I have attended, proud grandparents, aunts, uncles and all relatives are all present. Some will even travel so far to attend the party cum reunion. Actually, when Ella turned two, relatives came all the way from Kabacan to celebrate with us. What a great reunion!

Anyhow, for Ella’s birthday, I still don’t know where my sister wanted to hold it. But I’m sure she’ll shop for party invitations to give out to everybody in her guestlist.
