We seldom go to NCCC Mall because we don’t find interesting things and worthy of our time and effort going back there. Last Kadayawan was an exception because we were told that half of the floral floats was parked there so we don’t have a choice but go to the mall only to find out NOT ONE float is parked there. Anyway, at least I found something interesting being displayed. There should be a painting exhibit but I can’t understand why the area was closed and only this big canvass can be clearly seen. Others are behind this big painting. Continue Reading »

Aster. The name of our room when we stayed in Eden Nature Park for a training. I didn’t know it’s a name of a flower until I saw this beautiful flower labeled “ASTER” in Eden Nature Park’s booth during Kadayawan Festival. Have seen lots of this kind of flower in Eden and I only get to know its name lately. Nice meeting you, ASTER! Continue Reading »

Sky Watch day! I had a tiring yet great time shooting during the Kadayawan Festival in our place. My first time to shoot and my first time to witness a River Parade. Also, my first time to be at the bank of the Davao River. I and my sister were too early for the activity as we waited for more than an hour for us to have a glimpse of the river parade. Glad that we were early as I had a chance to shoot the scenery around. Here’s one of the many photos I took while waiting. The water is a bit murky so the clouds did not clearly reflect in the water.

Here’s a “variegated” anthurium in Red and Green. Got this shot last Sunday at the Kadayawan Festival’s Agro-Trade and Horticulture Exhibit. It was my 3rd time in that exhibit but I felt that I have still missed so much because I haven’t got enough photos of the flowers. Actually, we went back there because I have an unfinished business Continue Reading »

It’s a loonngggg weekend around here. Friday was declared as special non-working holiday in celebration of the Kadayawan Festival and Monday was also declared a Regular non-working holiday in lieu of the National Heroes Day last Sunday. Saturday was the most awaited day for me and the rest of FPS (Fanatic Photographers Society) members for the Kadayawan’s Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan (Street Dancing) shoot. Everybody were very excited for this event as people from different walks of life, of different ages, and of different culture, are gathered to witness the Indak-Indak (Street Dancing). It’s a whole day event so it’s a super long day for me. Anyway, let me share some photos of the people involved in this event.

the street sweeper resting after they have cleaned the grounds…and they kept on sweeping for the whole duration of the activity. Kodus to these heroes!
