I am looking for the right photo for this post but haven’t found one. It should be a photo of a Carabao but haven’t seen a Carabao here in the city. So I have here ants….I hope this would fit. They’re also busy buddies, aren’t they?

I am not feeling well hence I’m not gonna work. Guess this is the result of doing the laundry the other night. Yep, have done the laundry while Ace played badminton with his officemates. Isn’t that unfair? When will I can afford to have leisure time with my friends when I can hardly manage my time between my job, my blogging thing and my house chores? Glad that Che2x learned to cook so we take turns in cooking dinner. I am only saved from washing the dishes and feeding the dogs and cat because Che2x deligently does it. I cannot imagine how Mamang managed to do all without househelp. Sometimes, she even washed my clothes when I am busy with school work. That’s why Che2x never learned to cook because Mamang does it EVERYDAY. Like with all my other Aunts, they didn’t get tired to do the house chores though they are already grannies. Haven’t seen them sitting pretty and leave everything to others. Even Inang, who is now 83 years old still cook, and do some light house chores. Hence, it doesn’t mean that old people doesn’t have to work around the house. It’s the only way to keep them busy so that they won’t feel they are USELESS. It’s the way to keep the body active and won’t deteriorate because of a very sedentary lifestyle.

It’s Mamang’s supposed to be 59th birthday. I whispered “Happy birthday Mang” upon waking up yesterday. I am sure she heard it…wherever she is right now.

I was searching for some photos of Mamang to be posted here but I only found this one. The last ID photo she had before she got sick and died. It was framed by Carol so that Ella could see it often. I took this during Ella’s birthday. According to Carol, the little girl found the photo frame in their things from Davao. She let the frame sit in the chair and talk to it which she usually does and said “Gutom ako Neng” (I am hungry, Neng) imitating Mamang’s voice. Neneng is an endearment in Ilocano we are called Neneng by Mamang….including Ella.

We didn’t prepared something today. We just went out and eat at Yellow Cab per Che2x’s request which also serves as an early birthday treat for tomorrow.

My first PhotoHunt entry. This is every child’s obsession. I could remember my Niece, Ella when she was more than 1 year old, I brought her to SM to meet Mamang and Che-Che. When we’re inside the mall, I was leading her to the direction where Mamang and Che-Che are waiting but she ran to the opposite direction because she saw Astrochairs’ booth. The little girl said in a loud voice “Bili ako balloon….two.” (I’ll buy two balloons). She really loves balloons and on her birthday, Carol and Donald bought these bright colored balloons for her.

This is my first entry for Ruby Tuesday. These are roses I bought for Mamang’s death anniversary. I just took a photo of it before I arranged it into the vase thinking I could use it someday. Luckily I stumbled upon this meme and I am excited to post other photos I took with red in the subject.

Yesterday, I was off from blogging because I and our youngest went to the province to attend Ella’s birthday party. The little girl turned 5 and she was so proud and happy she is now a big girl. Carol and Donald prepared something for snacks and they have a bunch of visitors - churchmates and neighbors. I was also excited to see Ella and take photos of her as this is her first birthday that I can personally take photos of her using our cam. Sad to say, Totiz (as what she called Ace when she can barely speak) wasn’t able to come because of work. Anyway, here’s some of Ella’s pictures. I won’t post too many as I will leave it to Carol to post all she wanted.

The baby is now a lady? I’m sure Mamang is very proud of her little Neneng (endearment in Ilocano) that grew up to be smart and adorable kid.
