Money Tree

People believe that one should not buy or ask for a Money Tree. It should be given to you for good luck. We have one back in my hometown and I couldn’t say there’s truth to that belief. My Mother got the plant in my grandmother’s place so it was not literally given to her. The money tree grew and bear flowers but our financial status didn’t changed. Maybe because we don’t believe in that said money tree to bring financial freedom. It’s not the tree that will bring us good luck but it all depends on God’s will and how we use every blessing to eventually bring us financial freedom. Continue Reading »

Red steps at Philippine Taoist Temple

Teacher Mary said we’ll post something about Halloween or if we’re not celebrating Halloween, we could post something about fall. Sorry, we are not celebrating Halloween though some people adopted that tradition already. Philippines don’t also have remarkable fall season except those months between March and April leaves of most trees fall. Talisay (Tropical Almond)

It’s fall here in the Philippines!LOL. We really don’t have fall season as we are only blessed with 2 which are wet (rainy season) and dry (summer). When I and my sister Carol saw this Talisay tree (Terminalia catappa), or the local name of the tropical Almond tree in Isla Reta beach resort (Talicud Island, Davao del Norte) last weekend, we exclaimed “Ruby Tuesday entry”! This is my first time to see red leaves of Talisay tree as I usually see orange ones. The leaves turn orange before they wither. But this time, it’s RED. Continue Reading »
