Have posted regarding our plans for an online store days ago and one of my co-coder have read that post. Before I made that post, she asked me if I know how to put up a website for she is planning to have one for her business. Since I don’t know anything in making a website, I suggested she’ll go for ready-made templates and instead of having her own domain and hosting, she can avail of the free hosting. Her business site may look like a blog but at least she can promote her products. All she need is a shopping cart software for her online business. She can also avail of the free 10-day trial to check how the shopping cart works. About our plan for this venture, I am still checking how much  an ecommerce software will cost us. However, if the plan will push thru, will avail of the free trial before getting the company’s services. But still, it’s a long way to go since we still need to purchase another domain and get a hosting. But if Nai and Borski will allow us to host our site to them (on which this site is hosted for free…thanks to their generosity), that’ll be good.

It’s amazing how technology gives convenience to us…bringing us almost everything right in the comfort of our homes. During my university years, I never had the idea that working at home is possible. I was always thinking of the corporate world….only to find out that it’s not easy in the rat race. I always dreamt to land a good paying job and when I had it, I realized pay nor position cannot even motivate me. It doesn’t make me happy except for the fact that I am a contributing something to the employees. I want something different, something satisfying for my personal growth. Hence, I decided to quit without even concrete plans for tomorrow. I don’t seem to care….as long as I can leave the rat race. Anyway, there are unlimited opportunities outside and be my own boss of my own time. The fact that business can bring anybody to financial freedom, I and Ace have tried venturing into a small business. Like other businesses, we failed to keep it going. However, we are hopeful that we can have our own. Since I am working online, we are thinking of putting up our online store to showcase my sister’s personalized gift items and some other stuffs that we can make at home. Reading through the resources, one requirement for online store is the shopping cart software. In short, we cannot pursue this plan unless we have our ecommerce software and I think Ashop commerce has the ability to address this cocern.
