Ace checked on me once more. He was here for lunch yesterday bringing with him some food. He knew I was working and before I went online, I haven’t cooked food for my lunch. Hence, he was here to see if I am really eating lunch. Every time he goes to work he was reminding me to eat and he seemed not convinced if I tell him I am eating here.
Frankly, I like it this way.LOL. But Ace can’t just come home every lunch….not unless he will not commute.
After lunch, I went back to work, volunteered to log out early because I need to shoot for my assignment in Panning (shooting subjects in motion, keeping it focused while blurring the background). I went out to the street and started shooting with the camera mounted on the tripod. I thought I don’t need tripod for this shoot but Rhoen suggested that I should use to prevent camera shake. I had a hard time learning how to do panning. While I am reading how to do it, it seems very easy but practically hard to get it right. It took me numerous shots before I got my desired shot. Finally! I tell you, it’s really not easy as others are saying it needs much practice and luck.
After the shoot, I went back home and worked in OHJ. I just logged off when Ace arrived from work. We had pork BBQ for dinner and our favorite…COKE. See, I am a coke addict and Ace is becoming one. My addiction is contagious.LOL.

It’s almost 11PM and I’m still waiting for Ace to come home. Poor hubby..no time for himself due to his work. I’m sure they’re busy because tomorrow is Mid-Year inventory and he needs to prepare numerous reports. Then tomorrow, he will report to work early to prepare for the inventory. For sure when he gets home later he’ll be flat in bed. Good thing I have grabbed an opp to keep myself busy while waiting for H.

Last Monday morning, Ace received a call from a company he has applied to almost 6 months ago. I am asleep that time after being awake the whole night and was able to sleep at 5AM. I have been assisting him for his training as an online coder. When I woke up for lunch, he told me he was scheduled for an interview Tuesday. Well, I hope the interview result will be positive considering that there are many applicants vying for one position with the increasing unemployment rate in the country. Anyway, I am just thinking that he has an edge for he came from a company with the same nature of business ( actually, a competitor of this company) and the vacant position is inline with his previous work experiences.
After the interview, Ace sent an SMS message telling me that he is confident he’ll be accepted for the job. Well, I just hope so. But I don’t wanna expect too much coz I might be frustrated when the result is otherwise. But Ace has really a gut feeling that he’ll get the job. To make the story short, Ace received a call last Thursday informing him that he is considered for the job. Great news! Blessings really come when you’re not unexpecting it. It’s an answered prayer for us….we’ve been praying for it for months. Now, it pays to be persistent and patient. HE does answers prayers in HIS time.

Again, it’s the first working day of the week. But today is different from other Mondays for the last five years of my life. I am now free, free from the rat race being a corporate slave spending more than 8 hours in the office managing to deliver all my deliverables. At first, I was happy with my work for I think I am compensated enough and I like what I am doing coz I am learning a lot of things. But my motivation to work does not only rely on monetary aspect but fulfillment in my work also. What is important with me is the recognition of my performance, of my presence in the plant doing ALL Human Resources and Admin. functions not only to the 56 employees but also to the agency workers and the guards. It’s really hard managing such task with a hard-to-understand, unjust, as if concerned for the people’s welfare boss. Sorry to say that but that’s the truth. Going to the office bacame so stressful to me so I decided to quit my job. I am now free from the stressful office situation that sometimes resulted to depression. At least I have peace of mind now ’coz I don’t have to deal with people who does nothing but to make other people’s life miserable. Now, I am moving on, and I hope to get over with my bad experiences soon.

Almost everyday, my sister-in-law’s boyfriend sends inpirational SMS to his friends….and I am lucky enough that I am one of them. This morning, he sent me something to ponder.
“In life, there are five balls to juggle:
1) Family
2) Friends
3) Health
4) Values
5) Work
Only work is made of rubber. The rest are made of glass. Don’t drop them!”
Hence, I salute those who gave up their work for the sake of their family, friends, health or even their values in life.
My Dad’s nature of job almost made him live in the camp, 24/7. Though our house is only a few meters from their detachment, he wasn’t able to spend more time with us. He gave up his work when I was 7 because he wouldn’t want to compromise his values and didn’t want his children grow without him.
I believe one thing is for sure, money cannot buy family, friends, health and values. If these are shattered, it’s hard to bring back the broken pieces again.
