Sunrise view inside Cebu Pacific aircraft

Posted at 3:46 pm under Sky Watch Friday, Travel

I missed the fun last week. I have tons of photos for sky watch from our trip to Cebu last Thursday but I was so preoccupied with other things that I didn’t took time posting. Now I am making up for my absence and posting earlier than usual. When we checked in for our flight back to Davao last Tuesday, I told the check in assistant of Cebu Pacific Air to give us a starboard-window side seat. After she handed us the paper with our check-in details, I realized I forgot to tell her we wanted front row seats so that the aircraft’s wing will not obstruct a beautiful view of the sky which I intend to take photos.  I wanted starboard so we could see Mt. Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines. I didn’t know there’s another great thing from the starboard side.  We are on the eastern side! It’s great to see the sun rise from above the horizon.  Only, the aircraft’s wing hinders a beautiful photo. It’s my first time to witness a reddish sunrise. I usually see a golden and a warmer sunrise but this time is a different one. There’s no way I could get rid of the aircraft’s wing so I just took the photo than not getting a snap of the beautiful view right in front of us. It might have been a different perspective if I stood up from my seat but I cannot because the “fasten your seatbelt” sign is on.

After a few minutes, the sky looks like this….now without the aircraft’s wing and the sun. How I wish I could move the sun to the center of this photo.LOL.

These are only starters or appetizers for our week-long trip with tons of photos. I hope to post it when I am totally fine as I am still having fever.

Happy Sky Watch everybody! Visit here see more sky photos.

And I thought a Cebu was a type of African Cattle!

What a striking photo. Looks like the earth is on fire, from that perspective.

    Happy Skywatching!

The shots are great despite the wing on the first one. Were you at the starboard or port side? The wing seems the left one.

The wing looks like a shark streaking through the sky. I love it.
