Our life, experiences, and lessons learned

Weekend was spent mostly at home…though we were out to a movie (after century of not watching one) with my sisters, BIL and Ella last Friday. Last night, we were again at the mall to have dinner and some window shopping. Oh, it’s not actually window shopping. I was sweet-talking to Ace about my plan of getting an extension tube for our DSLR next payout. He asked me how much it costs and when I told him it’s around PhP800.00, he instantly lead me to Funtronics. The sales attendants don’t know how to use it (but they know how to mount it in the camera) so I have to research on how to use extension tube. This morning, after a few minutes of  experimenting how it is being used, I finally got it. So off I am at the back of the house where we temporarily put the plants I and Carol bought last weekend at the Agro-Trade Fair. Carol’s Lisianthus flowers already wilted so I was contained in taking macro shots of the Piti-Mini (small roses about an inch in diameter).

Whew! It’s really hard to do macro photography especially if you don’t have a dedicated macro lens. Challenging but satisfying. Hope to learn more techniques as we go along.

We had a great weekend, how about yours? Share it with us at

All that camera talk is sadly above my head (I wish is wasn’t!)… But that sure is one pretty picture!
