Dream House Part 2: French windows with exterior shutters
Personally, I want a house with big and wide windows for lotsa fresh air to breath and to freshen the whole house. As much as possible, I want all windows in a house opened because I felt soffucated with closed windows, with little air to breath. With wide and big windows, the house can be naturally lighted. Hence, no need for so incandescent and flourescent lamps to be on during daytime. Anyway, the design I have in mind is a French window as it generally adds beauty to the house. The problem with this style is the security. Window grills can serve the purpose of making the house more secured but it may ruin the window’s beauty. Anyway, I think a window shutter is perfect for this design and could keep the house secure during night or when everybody’s out.
By the way, window’s exterior shutters are not commonly used here in our place but I hope to find one in Ace Hardware (my husband’s hardware.LOL. yes, he owns the name, not the hardware.heh). If we couldn’t find one, I think a carpenter can make exterior shutters. This window and shutter looks perfect.
