Our life, experiences, and lessons learned

Have heard about that but it didn’t register in my mind (or was it stashed in my subconscious) but when I read about Julie’s post talking about that thing, I was reminded of the thing that I should have posted weeks ago. I am actually planning to write it down here but I just forgot (or too lazy).

If you are following my blog/s, you might have known that I am working (again) from home…aside from the blogging thing. I started working as Marketing Writer mid of February. During my first day, (while I was having my self-orientation of the company’s website, products, etc.), a blogger friend YMed me asking if I still work as an article writer. I actually don’t know where she got the idea that I worked part-time with Online Creative Solutions 3 years ago. She was offering me an article writing job but I have to decline the offer because I still don’t know how busy I would be with DWC not to mention that article writing entails a lot of research especially if the topic is not my line of interest. Then, in the evening I received a text message (addressing me in my maiden name) informing me of a job vacancy in Human Resources and inviting me to come for an interview with them. I wonder where did they got my contact number so I asked and was answered they got it from Jobstreet. Oh, I forgot I have an account in jobstreet.com that was not updated. I wasn’t able to change my family name there! Wahaaa! I actually received numerous job offers for HR and most of which are supervisory in nature but S-O-R-R-Y…I already turned my back from the rat race and I would not want to go back again. Not this time. Ace jokingly said “tell them you can work with them as a consultant”.*LoL* He thinks I can? I am too far from being one for I am incompetent and inexperienced to handle consultancy job. I would rather endorse Mama Janet (one of our godparent) for that.

So that’s how things come in threes for me. When you already have one, others would come along and you can only take so much. In my case, I could only have one fulltime job (with DWC) and part-time (blogging) so I’ll have time for my wifey roles, time for myself, and for other stuffs. Grabbing all that’s being offered would be GREEDINESS for me. I’m contented with what I’ve got so I am giving others the chance to get the job and earn.

Would like to find out a bit more on your problem of can’t changing your family name. Do post it at http://forum.jobstreet.com , and we would try to help you debug on it.

Thanks for your support! Wish you all the best in your new undertaking!

Best wishes from a staff of JobStreet.com
